Biografia:
Banda anglo-americana de rock progressivo, a Skin Alley talvez seja mais lembrada pela canção "Livin In Sin", incluída na popular coletânea dupla "Fill Your Head With Rock", de 1970, lançada pela CBS.
A agradável e melodiosa música foi retirada do primeiro álbum do grupo e é, sem dúvida, a sua melhor realização. Mas o LP inteiro vale a pena. Contém "Tell Me", canção de timbres suaves com uma bela melodia; "Mazsha", número instrumental acelerado, predominado por órgão e trazendo um longo solo de saxofone; "Country Aire", peça instrumental folk, com flauta e cravo; "All Alone", música lenta e harmoniosa, falando sobre solidão, com saxofone aprazível e extenso solo de órgão; "Night Temp", jovial e lépida, exibindo muitas improvisações de flauta e piano; e "Highway", célere canção de R&B, influenciada pelo rock progressivo, contendo prolongados solos de saxofone e órgão.
Em 1973, quando "Skintight" foi lançado, a banda executava um rock mais comercial, mais convencional, recheado de cordas e metais. O lado A de "Skintight" é decepcionante, mas existem três faixas corretas no lado B: "Instermental", música soul/funk instrumental; "The Heep Turns Human", recordando a Who do tempo de "Who's Next"; e "Maverick Woman Blues', canção bluseira/roqueira pesada, apresentando vocais poderosos e guitarra slide. "Skintight" teve produção do Don Nix e remixagem no Ardent Studios, em Memphis, Tennessee. Nick Graham também andou pelos grupos End, Atomic Rooster e Tucky Buzzard.
