Biografia:
Banda de rock progressivo que lembra um pouco a Procol Harum, a Fields foi formada em 1971 pelo organista Graham Field, ex-Rare Bird, o baterista Andy McCulloch, ex-King Crimson e futuro integrante da Greenslade, e o guitarrista e vocalista Alan Barry, que também tocou durante algum tempo na King Crimson.
O grupo lançou um disco homônimo e um single, em 1971, através da Epic Records (CBS Records no Reino Unido) antes de dispersar-se num piscar de olhos. O isolado álbum, que alguns fãs e críticos aclamaram como uma obra-prima obscura, ficou disponível por algum tempo, em CD, apenas no Japão, através da gravadora japonesa Sony, sendo lançado, finalmente, no mundo todo pela Epic, em 2006, também no formato CD (Steve Leggett, AllMusic; tradução livre do inglês).
