Biografia:
A Hookfoot era um quinteto (nota minha: na verdade, era um quarteto) formado no final dos anos 60, como um conjunto de gravações, por meia dúzia de músicos de estúdio associados à editora de Dick James (nota minha: no original, "Dick James's publishing", sendo que music publisher ou publishing company, segundo a Wikipedia, é a empresa responsável por garantir aos compositores o pagamento dos seus direitos autorais; no Brasil, a tarefa é exercida pelo ECAD) e posteriormente ao selo DJM Records.
A banda nunca obteve bons resultados nas paradas, embora fizesse parte do catálogo da A&M Records, pela qual lançou quatro LPs nos Estados Unidos. Ian Duck (vocais e harmônica), Dave Glover (baixo), Roger Pope (bateria e vocais) e Caleb Quaye (guitarra e vocais) compunham o lineup original do grupo. Bob Kulick (guitarra e vocais) fez companhia a Quaye em alguns discos e Fred Gandy empunhou o baixo posteriormente, em substituição a Glover (Bruce Eder, AllMusic; tradução livre do inglês).
